Dancing Landscapes is an embodied exploration with guided facilitation by movement artist, Chloe. A space to let the body speak before the mind.
We'll start by connecting within through a gentle awareness practice, listening deeply to our inner landscape. Making our way into movement to open the body into our wider biosphere, and leading into accessible, structured movement prompts to activate our spatial awareness. By now, your body is warmed up and ready to improvise freely, deepening both internal and external connections.
We will get to know our own bodies deeper by understanding, expanding, and strengthening our range of motion. All with the intention to feel safe and free in our bodies, using movement as a gateway. All levels, abilities, and bodies are welcome.
We'll begin with gentle movements/postures and breathing exercises, based on the Five Elements Theory of Chinese Metaphysics, so as to help you connect with your qi (life force).
After you've eased into the space, cool down with a live gong meditation that will both uplift and restore your spirits. Let the vibrations relax your body and peel away layers of your mind to reveal the depth of heart and vastness of being. Suitable for all levels.
Come explore Kundalini Yoga, known as the Yoga of awareness and which brings balance to your mind, body, and soul.
This practice consciously combines the breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood.
After the invigorating practice, we will wind down with the sounds of the crystal bowls.
Suitable for all levels. Each session is 75 mins.
Led by Chun, a Wim Hof certified instructor, find out how you can utilize oxygen and cold exposure to optimise your body and mind. You'll be guided through the following:
Breathwork will be conducted in our studio, and the ice bath will be outdoors, at Raw Kitchen & Bar’s lawn on the ground level of the building.
All levels, beginners welcome.
If you have no prior experience with cold exposure, we recommend you finish your showers cold in the days leading up to the workshop. This may be overwhelming at first, but just try to relax, focus on your breath, and bring it into a controlled, steady rhythm.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is suitable for everyone, but does require a basic level of health. Out of precaution, we advise against participation during pregnancy, or if you are epileptic. People with cardiovascular issues, or any other serious health conditions should always consult a medical professional before starting the Wim Hof Method.
Dutch extreme athlete Wim Hof got his nickname by breaking a number of records related to cold exposure, including: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in shorts, running a half marathon above the Arctic Circle barefoot, and standing in a container while covered with ice cubes for more than 112 minutes.
Using “cold, hard nature” as his teacher, his extensive training has enabled him to learn to control his breathing, heart rate, and blood circulation and to withstand extreme temperatures.
Join Chun, a certified Wim Hof Method (WHM) Instructor, as he expertly guides you through the 3 pillars — Breathing Technique, Cold Exposure & Mindset.
You'll enjoy ample personal attention and feedback tailored to you in this workshop. Whether you are looking to improve mental or physical performance, relieve illness-related symptoms, or are simply curious — a WHM workshop offers something for everyone.
Light refreshments will be provided.
