Is stress getting the best of you? Modern life places a lot of pressure on us, and most of us were never really taught how to manage stress and anxiety. Wouldn't it be nice if we could find a natural stability, resilience, and clarity amongst the chaos?
Mindfulness is a useful tool to help you build self-awareness and to draw more effectively on your capabilities. Discover how you can develop your mindset and practice with Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, an eight-week foundational course.
You will learn a range of mindfulness practices to cultivate an observant, accepting and compassionate stance towards your internal experiences and how to apply this to immediate life challenges.
Every Sunday, 24 October to 12 December. Each session is 2.5 hours, from 10:00am to 12:30pm. The course also includes an extra session—Day of MIndfulness, a silent retreat on 4 Dec, 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Kindly note that there are no makeup sessions available. Please ensure that you can attend all or at least six out of the eight sessions. The course facilitator will provide remote guidance for the missed lessons, if needed.
Danica’s journey with mindfulness started out from research in the field of exercise and sports studies, which later led to her own meditation practice, a greater interest in the areas of counselling psychology, and neuroscience of mindfulness and yoga. She channels her focus into working with people to help them experience mind-body balance, through teaching mindfulness, yoga therapeutics and coaching. On a day to day basis, Danica facilitates the 8-week MBSR, Mindful Schools curriculum for youth, and athlete performance programmes.
